A new year begins I want to thank everyone for their support and interest in The Art Map.
My 2012 Grey Bruce Landscape Calendar is turned to Tina Concetta Revie's January painting Winter Shadows in Bruce County. Want to purchase a calendar for yourself or a friend? The 49th Annual Juried Exhibition, I think this is the longest running annual show in the area. If I'm wrong please set me straight.

Owen Sound Artist's Co-op, Owen Sound
Photovoice, a show of Photography with narratives taken and composed by local First Nations youth from Cape Croker and Saugeen. More details about the show can be found on the co-op website. This show is funded partly by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The Saugeen Artists Co-op is having a show at a store in Hanover until Christmas. Visit their website for more details about the hours. The store will be open 7 days a week until Dec 24th, but the hours are different every day. Pop by and have a look at the work of 22 artists.

The Art Map Fall Open Studio Weekend

It's a great time to visit art studios on Thanksgiving weekend and take in the creative talent. Along the way you can enjoy the fall colours outdoors (don't forget your camera for the scenery outdoors) and artwork indoors. Visit 22 locations some of which are only open by appointment. It's a great time to visit those studios without having to make an appointment.

What better time to tour the area then in the fall. It's a great opportunity to do some exploring on backroads and visit some of those out-of-the-way places. In Grey County there are waterfalls, Bruce County has Lighthouses and Manitoulin there's Bridal Veil Falls and Lighthouses to explore. One location is right at Cabot Head Lighthouse.

Watch for signs along the way.
